Technology-Enhanced Learning Experience (TELE) Design
When designing a TELE, I believe that it is important to consider the
following factors:
- The experience should reflect reality in some way: either the technology is used in an authentic way (such as using a graphing calculator to model a solution) or the technology is used to demonstrate a real-life situation (such as using video to bring the real world into the classroom).
- Ideally the use of technology will be embedded in the learning experience in a natural way (used as part of a complete learning experience) rather than the technology being the sole experience.
- The experience will foster cooperation and groupwork among the students and allow the teacher to act as a facilitator and coach rather than a transmissive expert.
